SEEDLESS COTTONWOOD
Cottonwoods are majestic and magnificent. These ornamental deciduous trees have large glossy leaves which provide good shade and cover for wildlife. Reaching 50 -100 feet in height, cottonwoods are exceptionally tolerant of flooding and erosion. This fast growing tree produces no seeds. It is an adaptable tree suited for large open spaces or where shade is desired. The landscape area between the street and sidewalk, should be at least 12 feet wide to allow a cottonwood to develop to its full trunk and root flair potential; 2 1/2 to 3 foot trunk diameters are common, but trunks can become as large as 5 feet in diameter.
